About Kindle

Kindle is your opportunity to be on the front lines of our holiday camp programs while benefitting from teaching, coaching, and encouragement, with a focus on who you are and what you are made for!

WHO IS IT FOR?

Grade 11 & 12 students with capacity for leadership who want to further their skills and share a positive experience.


WHAT TO EXPECT

Tailored experiences both during camps and on weekends.
Involvement in leadership and support roles throughout our holiday camps.
A structured program including daily reflections & debriefs alongside personal training & coaching.

KINDLE INCLUSIONS

  • Sessions each day, focusing on personal and spiritual development. (2 daily sessions each day and 3 weekly sessions spaced over each of the weeks).
  • Team based training and personal development sessions throughout the week.
  • Participation as assistant leaders throughout the day as part of the Holiday
  • Camps programs in partnership with program staff, camp leadership, and holiday camp leaders.
  • A guide book and journal that walks them through each of the elements each day for their program.
  • Group and one on one coaching and feedback from their experience in our holiday camp as assistant leaders.

KINDLE OBJECTIVES

  • Consider the place God has in your formation and life journey. 
  • Explore your unique offering through participating in a wide range of camp roles. 
  • Learn to work well in a team and live in a close knit community.
  • Enjoy the opportunity to make significant contribution.

KINDLE OUTCOMES

  1. A clearer sense of personal skills, gifts and abilities
  2. A greater understanding, experience and equipping in a relationship with Jesus
  3. A valuable understanding of working in a close knit team
  4. Increased interpersonal, communication and leadership skills

Voluntary Opportunities


As a member of the 2025 Kindle Crew, you have the opportunity to come back as a volunteer staff member for any of the remaining holiday camps:

 

April 7-11 • Holiday Camp GR 3-6

April 14-18 • Holiday Camp GR 7-10

July 7-11 • Ignite Camp Kids

July 14-18 • Ignite Camp Youth

Sept 22-26 • Holiday Camp GR 3-6

Sept 29 – Oct 3 • Holiday Camp GR 7-10

Typical Day


 

7:00am – guided reflection & journalling
7:30am – Group morning session
8:00am – Breakfast
9:00am – Camp Assisting with program, cabin leaders & Kitchen
12:30pm – Lunch
1:30pm – Camp Assisting
3:30pm – Kindle Session
5:00pm – Create Free Time activities for campers
6:00pm – Dinner
7:00pm – Camp Night Program & Campfire
9:00pm – Kindle evening Session
10:00pm – Back to cabins

JOURNEY COST

$1200 – Includes accommodation, meals, camp uniform, guidebook & journal.
